Planning and Development

Planning and development within the Town of Santa Claus operates under the Ordinances and Comprehensive Plan of the Town of Santa Claus. Several entities contribute to the creation, modification and overall administration of plans and ordinances.

Town Council

The Town Council members are elected by the citizens and ultimately vote on the final disposition of business. 

Advisory Plan Commission

Prepares and updates the Comprehensive Plan, ordinances or other considerations at the request of the Town Council.

Board of Zoning Appeals

Administers the appeals and variance processes relating to plans or ordinances.

Building Inspector / Zoning Administrator

These distinct roles are managed by a single individual, in charge of enforcing ordinances within the town.
